PUDLO waterproof concrete systems are currently working on this prestigious riverside project with AJ Morrisroe & Sons in Central London.
This unique riverside location gives fantastic views of the river, Tower Bridge, the Tower of London and City beyond, while the large public cultural facility will enhance the already diverse and existing mix of activities that run along the Thames.
The buildings organise themselves around a new axis which links Queen Elizabeth Street to the southern tower of Tower Bridge, forming a new commercial street which visually and physically connects the bridge and surrounding streets. The new buildings frame the view of the Southern Tower and accommodate retail frontages with apartments above. The proposal encourages activity and pedestrian flow between Tooley Street and the riverside and helps to define the edge of the park with a new linear building connecting Shad Thames with More London. The development also includes a campanile of single residential apartments at the end of the residential courtyard off Potters Fields Park.
The development is open to the public with full pedestrian access into the courtyard space between the buildings. The landscaping of the park is to be extended by the original landscape designers into the development with water features and hard and soft landscaping.
